WILL NEGATIVE ACCOUNTS REAPPEAR AFTER THEY ARE REMOVED?
When negative information is deleted from your credit report, the credit reporting agencies can’t reinsert any account that was previously deleted unless there was new information found.
A creditor has 30 days to verify a dispute. If the creditor hasn’t responded to the credit reporting agency within the 30 day allowable time frame, the credit reporting agency must delete the challenged item from your credit report.
On occasion, the credit reporting agency will perform a soft delete and if the creditor responds a week or two after the 30 day time period they could reinsert an account. I’ve been in the credit repair industry for more than 13 years, serviced thousands of clients and I ‘ve seen less than five occasions that a negative account was reinserted back onto a clients credit report after it was deleted.
I understand that it’s important to stay up-to-date with your accounts and make sure all the negative accounts that have been removed do not reappear. I want to assure you that once an account is removed, it will not reappear again.
For more information, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d be more than happy to answer any other questions you may have about our process for removing negative accounts.

HOW MUCH WILL MY CREDIT SCORE INCREASE?
There is no way to determine how much your credit score will go up. There are many factors which can impact your score and determine if and how much your credit score will increase. If you get any new collections, pay anything late or max out any of your credit cards you’ll hurt your credit score. There is absolutely no way for us to predetermine what you are going to do during the process.
On average, our clients see a 129 point increase in their credit scores within 90 days. This happens when no new occurrences of derogatory information have been reported after we started and they’ve followed our recommendations.
WHAT ITEMS CAN YOU REMOVE FROM A CREDIT REPORT?
Credit repair companies are prohibited from making a promise regarding the removal of negative information.
There is actually no item that can’t be removed. Yes, you heard me right. There is no negative information that can’t be removed from a credit report.
If a negative account isn’t accurate, verifiable or reporting within the allowable time frame, it can be legally removed from your credit.
The good news is that 79% of credit reports have errors. Those errors can be used as leverage to remove negative accounts like collections, charge offs, student loans, repossession, bankruptcy, and foreclosure. Even if the account was not paid, if it is not can be removed.
WILL I GET APPROVED FOR A LOAN AFTER MY CREDIT IS REPAIRED?
Since we are not lenders, there is no way for us to predict the criteria required for any type of loan. Every lender has their own guidelines that they use to determine if applications are qualified. Some of the guidelines may include: income, length of time on your job, total liabilities, etc.
There are many other factors that lenders consider, so we cannot determine whether you will be approved for a loan after your credit is repaired.
Business Credit Questions & Answers
HOW CAN I CHECK MY BUSINESS CREDIT REPORT?
Checking your business credit report is an essential step in managing your company’s financial health and ensuring you have access to favorable credit terms. Here’s how you can do it:
Choose a Business Credit Reporting Agency: Start by selecting one of the major business credit reporting agencies, such as Experian, Equifax, or Dun & Bradstreet. Each agency may have slightly different information, so consider checking with multiple agencies for a comprehensive view.
Provide Business Information: You’ll need to provide accurate and up-to-date information about your business, including your EIN (Employer Identification Number) and legal business name. Ensure that the information matches what is on record.
Request Your Report: Visit the chosen credit reporting agency’s website or contact them directly to request your business credit report. Some agencies offer free reports, while others may charge a fee. Review your options and choose the one that suits your needs.
Review Your Business Credit Report: Once you receive your report, carefully review all the information. Check for any inaccuracies, discrepancies, or errors in your credit history, including trade lines, payment history, and public records.
Monitor Regularly: Business credit reports can change over time, so it’s essential to monitor your credit regularly. Some credit reporting agencies offer monitoring services that can alert you to any changes in your credit profile.
Maintain Good Credit Practices: Continuously maintain good credit practices to ensure a positive credit history. Consistency in managing your credit can open doors to better financing options and favorable terms.
Remember that your business credit report is a valuable tool for securing financing, attracting partners, and building trust with creditors and suppliers. Regularly checking and managing your business credit is a proactive step in maintaining a healthy financial foundation for your company.
HOW DO I GET BUSINESS CREDIT THAT'S NOT LINKED TO MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER?
Building business credit that is not linked to your Social Security Number (SSN) is a crucial step in establishing your business’s financial independence and credibility. Here’s how you can achieve this:
Incorporate Your Business: Start by incorporating your business as a separate legal entity, such as an LLC (Limited Liability Company) or a Corporation. This legal structure helps create a clear separation between your personal and business finances.
Obtain an EIN (Employer Identification Number): Apply for an EIN from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). An EIN is a unique identifier for your business, similar to a Social Security Number for individuals. It’s essential for conducting business transactions and establishing credit.
Register Your Business: Ensure your business is properly registered with state and local authorities, and obtain any required licenses and permits. Compliance with legal requirements is vital for building trust with creditors and lenders.
Open a Business Bank Account: Open a dedicated business bank account in your company’s name. This account should be separate from your personal accounts and used exclusively for business transactions.
Establish a Business Credit Profile: To build business credit, start by establishing credit with vendors and suppliers who are willing to extend credit to your business based on your EIN. These vendors should report your payment history to business credit bureaus like Dun & Bradstreet, Experian, or Equifax.
Use Business Credit Cards: Apply for business credit cards in your company’s name. Ensure these cards are linked to your EIN, not your SSN. Responsible use of business credit cards and on-time payments can positively impact your credit profile.
Apply for Business Loans and Lines of Credit: As your business credit profile strengthens, you can apply for business loans and lines of credit. Many lenders offer financing options specifically designed for businesses, and they often consider your business creditworthiness rather than your personal credit.
Monitor and Manage Your Business Credit: Regularly monitor your business credit reports to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement. Managing your credit responsibly, such as paying bills on time and reducing outstanding balances, is essential for building a strong credit profile.
Establish Trade Relationships: Cultivate positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and creditors. A history of reliable payments and ethical business practices can open doors to better credit terms and opportunities.
Consult with Experts: Consider seeking advice from financial professionals or business credit experts who can provide guidance on building and maintaining your business credit.
Remember that building business credit separate from your SSN takes time and consistent effort. It’s a valuable asset that can help your business access financing, negotiate better terms, and establish trust with partners and stakeholders.
DO I NEED A SEPARATE BUSINESS ADDRESS IF I USE MY HOME AS NY BUSINESS ADDRESS?
Using your home as your business address is a common practice for many small businesses and entrepreneurs, especially if you operate as a sole proprietorship or a small LLC. However, there are important considerations to keep in mind, and whether you need a separate business address depends on various factors:
- Legal Structure of Your Business: The legal structure of your business plays a role in whether a separate business address is necessary. If you are a sole proprietorship or a single-member LLC, you can often use your home address as your business address without any legal issues. However, if you have a larger LLC or corporation, you may be required to have a separate business address.
- Privacy Concerns: Using your home address as your business address may raise privacy concerns. Some business owners prefer to keep their personal address separate from their business for privacy and security reasons.
- Professionalism: Consider whether using your home address aligns with the image you want to project for your business. If you believe a separate business address would enhance your professionalism and credibility, it may be worth exploring.
- Regulatory Requirements: Check with your local government and zoning regulations to determine if there are any restrictions or requirements related to using your home as a business address. Some areas have zoning rules that limit the types of businesses that can operate from residential addresses.
- Mail Handling: If you use your home address for business, think about how you will handle business mail. You may want to consider a mailbox service or a virtual office that provides a professional address for mail and package handling.
- Legal and Tax Implications: Using your home address as your business address can have legal and tax implications. Consult with a legal or tax professional to understand the potential impact on your personal liability and tax obligations.
- Lender and Vendor Requirements: Some lenders, vendors, or partners may have specific address requirements. For example, when applying for business loans or establishing relationships with certain suppliers, they may prefer or require a separate business address.
In summary, whether you need a separate business address when using your home as your business address depends on the nature of your business, legal considerations, privacy concerns, and your personal preferences. It’s important to research the specific requirements and implications for your location and business structure and, if in doubt, seek advice from legal and business professionals to make an informed decision.
WHEN I GET A NEW BUSINESS ADDRESS HOW DO I UPDATE MY BUSINESS DOCUMENTS?
When you acquire a new business address, it’s important to update your business documents to ensure that your company’s records and legal information reflect this change accurately. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to update your business documents:
Notify Government Authorities:
Contact the appropriate government agencies responsible for business registration and licensing in your jurisdiction. This may include the Secretary of State’s office, county clerk’s office, or municipal authorities. Inform them of your new business address and follow their specific procedures for updating your business records.
Amend Your Articles of Organization or Incorporation:
If you operate as an LLC (Limited Liability Company) or a corporation, you may need to file an amendment to your Articles of Organization (for LLCs) or Articles of Incorporation (for corporations) with the state. This amendment should include the updated business address. Consult your state’s business registration guidelines for the necessary forms and instructions.
Update Your Business License:
If your business requires a local or municipal business license, contact the issuing agency to update your license with the new address. They may issue a revised license certificate.
Update Your EIN (Employer Identification Number) Information:
Notify the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) of your new business address. You can do this by submitting IRS Form 8822-B, which is specifically used for changing your business address. This ensures that your tax-related documents are sent to the correct location.
Update Your Business Bank Account:
Visit your bank or financial institution and inform them of your address change. They will update your business account records to reflect the new address.
Update Your Website and Marketing Materials:
Update your business website, social media profiles, and any other online platforms with the new address. Also, ensure that your marketing materials, such as business cards, brochures, and flyers, are revised to include the updated address.
Notify Suppliers, Vendors, and Customers:
Inform your suppliers, vendors, and customers about the address change to avoid any disruptions in business operations. Update your contact information in your email signatures and communication templates.
Update Legal Contracts and Agreements:
Review and amend any legal contracts, leases, or agreements that reference your business address. Notify the relevant parties and update the contracts as necessary.
Change Your Registered Agent’s Address:
If you have a registered agent for your business, update their address with the new information. This is especially important if your registered agent’s address is used for legal notifications.
Update Insurance Policies:
Inform your business insurance providers of the address change to ensure that your policies are up to date and that you receive important communications.
Update Permits and Regulatory Filings:
If your business holds specific permits or licenses related to its operations, update these records with the appropriate regulatory authorities.
File Address Change Notices:
Some states may require you to file an official address change notice with their business division. Check your state’s specific requirements and follow the prescribed procedures.
Retain Proof of Address Change:
Keep copies of all documents and correspondence related to your address change as proof of the update for your records.
Remember that the process of updating your business documents may vary depending on your location and legal structure. It’s essential to follow the specific guidelines and requirements of your state and local authorities to ensure compliance. Additionally, maintaining organized records of the address change and notifying all relevant parties promptly will help streamline the process and minimize disruptions to your business operations.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR ME TO GET BUSINESS CREDIT?
The timeline for establishing business credit can vary depending on several factors, including the type of credit you’re seeking, your business’s financial activities, and your commitment to building a strong credit profile. Here’s a general overview of the timeline for getting business credit:
- Initial Setup (1-2 months):
- Setting up your business structure, obtaining an Employer Identification Number (EIN) from the IRS, and registering your business with the appropriate authorities typically takes a few weeks to a couple of months.
- Vendor Credit (2-6 months):
- Many businesses start by applying for vendor credit accounts with suppliers who extend credit to companies with limited or no credit history. Building a positive payment history with these vendors can take a few months.
- Business Credit Reporting (2-3 months):
- After obtaining vendor credit, it may take another couple of months for your payment history to be reported to business credit bureaus like Dun & Bradstreet, Experian, or Equifax. These bureaus compile your credit information and generate a business credit report.
- Initial Business Credit Score (3-6 months):
- Once your payment history is reported, your business will begin to have an initial business credit score. This score may take a few months to develop and will depend on your payment history and other factors.
- Established Business Credit (6-12 months and beyond):
- Building a strong business credit profile typically takes at least six months to a year or longer. During this time, you’ll want to continue making on-time payments to vendors and suppliers and may start applying for business credit cards and other credit lines.
- Access to Additional Credit (12+ months):
- After establishing a solid business credit history, you can access more significant credit opportunities, such as business loans, lines of credit, and credit cards with higher limits. The timeline for this stage can vary widely depending on your business’s financial performance.
- Maintaining and Growing Business Credit (Ongoing):
- Building business credit is an ongoing process. Consistently managing your credit accounts responsibly, paying bills on time, and avoiding late payments or defaults are key to maintaining and improving your business credit profile over time.
It’s important to note that there is no fixed timeline for every business. The speed at which you can establish and build business credit depends on various factors, including the credit reporting practices of your vendors, the types of credit you apply for, your payment history, and your business’s financial stability.
Additionally, remember that building strong business credit is not just about speed; it’s about building a solid and reliable credit profile that reflects your business’s creditworthiness. Patience and responsible financial management are key to long-term success in this regard.
CAN I GET APPROVED FOR BUSINESS CREDIT, EVEN IF I HAVE BAD PERSONAL CREDIT?
Yes, it is possible to get approved for business credit even if you have bad personal credit, but it may be more challenging, and the options available to you could be limited. Here are some key points to consider:
- Separation of Personal and Business Credit: One of the primary principles of business credit is to establish a clear separation between personal and business finances. This means that business credit decisions should ideally be based on your business’s creditworthiness rather than your personal credit history.
- Vendor and Supplier Credit: You can often start building business credit by obtaining vendor and supplier credit accounts. Some vendors are willing to extend credit to businesses with limited or poor personal credit histories. They may primarily evaluate your business’s ability to pay invoices promptly.
- Secured Business Credit Cards: Secured business credit cards can be an option for those with bad personal credit. These cards require a security deposit, and your credit limit is typically equal to or slightly higher than the deposit. By using and paying off a secured business credit card responsibly, you can gradually improve your business credit.
- Alternative Lenders: Some alternative lenders may focus more on your business’s revenue and cash flow than your personal credit history when considering you for a business loan or line of credit. However, they may charge higher interest rates to offset the risk associated with poor personal credit.
- Personal Guarantee: In many cases, especially for small businesses or startups, lenders or creditors may require a personal guarantee. This means that if your business defaults on the credit, you, as the business owner, are personally responsible for repaying the debt. While this may increase your chances of approval, it also puts your personal assets at risk.
- Improving Personal Credit: To strengthen your business’s credit position, it’s still a good idea to work on improving your personal credit over time. As your personal credit score improves, it may open up more opportunities for better business credit terms and higher credit limits.
- Build a Strong Business Credit History: The most effective way to overcome the limitations of bad personal credit is to focus on building a strong business credit history. Consistently make on-time payments to vendors and suppliers, manage your business finances responsibly, and demonstrate your business’s creditworthiness.
It’s important to note that while you can work towards establishing business credit with bad personal credit, it may require extra effort, and you may encounter higher interest rates, stricter terms, or lower credit limits compared to someone with a strong personal and business credit history. Additionally, lenders and creditors vary in their eligibility criteria, so it’s advisable to explore different options and speak with lenders who specialize in working with businesses in your situation.
